Three Springs approached our client Chimera Communications to revamp the website and initiate an seo and pay-per-click campaign to increase their online exposure. Prior to the redesign and seo campaign the site was only being found in search for their branded keyword terms such as "Three Springs Durango". We redesigned their site with usability and search engine optimization as key components.

We just completed our annual seo review of the site comparing August 15 - September 14, 2009 to August 15 - September 14, 2008 of last year. Even despite the economic downturn, the numbers show a study increase in search engine traffic.

Key Findings

  • Non branded organic traffic accounted for 38.29% of all traffic to the site-up 92.52% from the 19.89% it accounted for during the same period last year.
  • Year over year overall traffic is up 64.93% with Google organic traffic is up 74.83%
  • The non branded search term that attracted the greatest number of visitors was Durango Colorado real estate.Visits to the site using this term is up 192%

The Three Springs website now holds many first page Google listings for a broad range of terms such as "durango home builders", "colorado green home", "durango colorado homes for sale", "durango real estate" etc.

Plans for this next year include greater advertising exposure on top real estates sites such as Trulia.com and Homes.com among others. Increased efforts will also be devoted to social media utilizing popular applications such as Twitter and Facebook alongside blogging by the Three Springs staff.

  • Searchable Database of Homes One of the most visited sections of the website is the searchable database of homes. When changes are made to the homes inventory, an upload of the revised spreadsheet is all that is needed to update the information on the website.
  • Interactive Project TourWe utilized Adobe Flex to create an interactive tour of the project to give visitors a better sense of the project breadth. Users are able to click on areas of the project siteplan to learn more about the project.
  • Media Section Including Videos and Photo GalleryThe site includes a media section with video and event photos to keep visitors up to date on the latest events at Three Springs.
  • Expression Engine Content Management System Expression Engine allows Three Springs to easily manage their website content through a friendly WYSIWYG editor.
  • Email Marketing The Three Springs staff manages their email campaigns from subscribers generated on the site with Constant Contact. The site also utilizes RSS to Email which automatically sends out messages to the resident list segment when content is added to the resident area of the site.
  • Events CalendarThe events calendar is easily managed by the Three Springs staff through the Expression Engine CMS.
